Structuring agenda topics

To provide a better overview of large agendas, it can be helpful to group topics, making certain topics subtopics of others. It is possible to have several levels of subtopics if desired. In addition, as you edit the agenda, you may find that a certain topic should be moved to somewhere else in the agenda.

To indent a topic, select it, click Move and choose Indent . The topic is indented one level, becoming a subtopic of the topic preceding it.

To outdent a topic, select it, click Move  and choose Outdent . The topic is outdented one level and is no longer a subtopic of the topic preceding it.

Subtopics do not have durations. They are assumed to fill out part of the main topic's duration.

When a topic has subtopics, all of the subtopics can be collapsed by clicking the minus sign next to the topic title, providing a better overview of complex agendas. Click the plus sign to expand the subtopics again.

Topics can be moved up or down on the same indentation level.

To move a topic up, select it, click Move  and choose Move Up .

To move a topic down, select it, click Move  and choose Move Down .

Topics stay on the same indentation level. In other words, if you have created subtopics 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 and then select subtopic 1.3 and click Move Up twice, the selected subtopic will be moved to position 1.2 first and then to position 1.1. It will not move up beyond position 1.1; if the topic should be higher on the agenda, outdent it and move it up as required.

Breaks are always inserted at the root level of the agenda, no matter if the agenda has subtopics or not. For more information on inserting breaks, see "Adding breaks to an agenda".

Using the arrow icon to structure topics

Instead of using the Move button, you can indent, outdent and move topics by clicking the blue arrowheads on the Move icon shown next to the topic.

If an arrowhead is gray, the topic cannot be moved in that direction.

A topic with this icon can be moved up or down or indented, but not outdented, by clicking the corresponding blue arrowhead on the icon.

A topic with this icon can be outdented by clicking the blue arrowhead on the icon. No other movement is currently possible.
